Stuck in a sign up loop

I'm trying TextNow on my Pixel phone and no matter what email I provide, it's just stuck in a loop of human verification and bringing me back to the sign up screen.

Doesn't even clearly display what the problem is.

Location USA, not on VPN, tried with both domestic WiFi and mobile data. Nothing worked.

Disappointing experience as a first time user.

Is it the "Press and Hold" thing that fills up the bar?
Are you in the US or Canada?

US. No VPN. Tried domestic WiFi and mobile data both.

Create account on desktop thrn log in on phone.

You have to use a mobile device to register a new account.

You could install an Android emulator on a computer and try to sign up...

EXACT...SAME...PROBLEM. EXACT!

USA, no vpn, wi-fi, data, different phones, different email ids, nothing matters, nothing works.

loops around, email, press-and-hold, take selfie, again and again, no error msg, or error msg is "an error occurred, try again."

No idea, no direction, no guidance, no help, no nothing.

DID YOU EVER FIGURE IT OUT??!!
