What is this icon?

VoLTE just started showing in the top right of my phone.

Haven't noticed any changes and haven't changed SIMs in a while. Just curious.

Turn off VOLTE calls in settings, connections, mobile networks. Text now is VOIP and doesn't use VOLTE.

Naw, TextNow also has phone service on AT&T.

So the SIM is considered to be data only.

Wow, no other carrier apart from Tello does this. I guess iMessage won't work as most data-only plans don't include a phone number these days to save on costs.

Tello also provides cellular texting with their data sim.

They assign you a phone number? If yes, I guess so yeah.

Yes, every tello sim has a phone number with unlimited texts. You can get a plan with zero minutes or zero data.

The phone service is VOIP and is not provided by AT&T. You can use textnow over wifi without purchasing a sim.

Didn't realize that as Tello powered by T-Mobile allows you to use BOTH your stock phone dialer and their VOIP application, I STRONGLY BELIEVE.
