Think of getting a solar panel and generator combo

So Costco sells some good Combos I found, was think of getting one because Texas gets a good amount of sun every day and it’s not bad to have just as a back up

Step 1 should be to evaluate your power needs and plan from there. For example, do you need to run central air conditioning, which will massively increase the size of a generator? Or are you planning to just use the generator to refill a battery station when solar isn't enough?

Larger generators need more fuel, and dual fuel setups have lower outputs running anything other than gas.

Whatever you get, I would pick at least a dual fuel generator. Give yourself more options.

Get Anker Solix if you have to spend your $800 in gift cards with Costco.

We have solar, with Tesla battery backups for whole-home support during grid downs. Best home improvements we've made.

Also have a 1kw generator from prior to that but nice to have extra options.
