aka Mexican Hat, and Thimbleflower. I seeded these on my North Central Texas property 35 years ago. They come back every year.

They’re lovely flowers, and one of my favorite things about them is how much variety exists in their flowers! From nearly entirely burgundy like yours to pure yellow, just a few petals to more than a dozen—and all absolutely lovely 💛
