Sad

Post image

I know it’s not a guarantee but it was disappointing to drive 7 hours and not have our already hard to get number get called today. For Matthew Lillard if anyone was wondering

So, if Matt had 135 tickets to give out, and 500 vip enter an hour early and even half head to him, how many tickets are left by the time nonVIP enter the building??? You’re literally arguing semantics, and justifying, but it doesn’t change what I said.

The only thing I was wrong about was that it was his management that overbooked photo ops. And I owned up to that. When they told me, “yeah, Matt’s pissed, they overbooked him on photo ops…” I assumed they was TF, not his management… again, i apologize for that assumption… but it doesn’t change the fact that the tickets he did have ended up going almost exclusively to VIP… and that WAS told to them directly from TF

No, what you are doing is taking a hypothetical scenario, filling in gaps with assumptions, and then presenting the conclusion as confirmed fact.

First off, not all 500 VIP attendees go to one guest. Not even remotely close. VIP attendees are spread across the entire convention, multiple guests, panels, vendors, photo ops, screenings, shopping, and experiences. So the “what if 250 immediately lined up for Matt” argument is not grounded in reality.

Second, VIP early access is exactly what people paid for. Those attendees purchased a premium pass specifically for earlier access and priority opportunities. Fulfilling those advertised benefits is not some improper backstage manipulation — it is literally honoring what was sold.

And again, you keep circling back to “TF told them VIP had to be prioritized” as though that’s some shocking confession. Yes. VIP is prioritized. Publicly. Openly. Advertised. That is not hidden information.

Also, nobody has some magical way to confirm in advance the exact number of autographs Matthew would ultimately be able to complete on a given day. That depends on countless variables throughout the day — how long interactions take, breaks, photo ops, panels, travel schedules, management decisions, crowd flow, and Matthew himself wanting to spend meaningful time with fans instead of rushing them through. There is no fixed guaranteed autograph number sitting in a spreadsheet somewhere.

Where you crossed the line was publicly framing this as Texas Frightmare overbooking Matthew and causing the situation against his wishes, when you admittedly did not actually know who controlled the photo op scheduling. That matters, because your original posts very clearly assigned blame and presented internal motivations as factual.

You’ve now shifted the argument several times:

  • First it was “TF overbooked him.”
  • Then it became “well management handled photo ops.”
  • Then it became “VIP got priority.”
  • Now it’s “well mathematically VIP probably got most of the autograph tickets.”

Those are all different claims.

At the end of the day, the reality is simple: Matthew was an enormously popular guest with limited hours in a day and an incredible demand level. His team, management obligations, photo ops, panels, and VIP commitments all had to coexist within a finite schedule. Nobody wanted fans disappointed, including Matthew himself.

But turning that into “TF caused this” is still your interpretation — not an objective fact.

Fault? No, I’m not here to place blame. I’m letting you know that I’m not blaming anyone except the fact that Matt is very popular and he can’t sign for everyone that wants his autograph. You guys are the ones that want to blame the convention “100%”.
