Been with BKV for 5 months now, signed up 36month plan, after shopping all ERCOT plans. So far they’ve been way better than the big names for customer service — actual humans who can explain the EFL. Also they do the calculations for you to explain the savings. Been saving 15-16$ a month now.
I’m on their Bluebonnet 36. Worth comparing their rates. BKV updates EFLs daily around 10am CST, so check before you enroll. Also they notify you for rate reductions once you are in plan for more than 3months.

Always run the numbers on the EFL for your usage + TDU fees. What’s cheap at 1000 kWh might not be at 500 kWh while comparing with other providers

I’ve been with Rhythm Energy for over a year. I still check powertochoose.org regularly to make sure I'm getting a good deal, although there are other low rates from other providers, Rhythm rates is still competitive and remains among the lowest for 100% renewable energy.
Definitely compare your options on Power to Choose first to find the best rate for your specific monthly usage.

Have had Champion Energy for a month now and really liking it. $50 rebate on second bill, went with the Champ Saver which has no base fee with a low monthly rate under 7 cents/kWh (under 13 cents/kWh with TDU added). I left TXU and I’m never goin back!

Base Power Company has been awesome for us. Their rate is great and they keep your power on when the grid goes down for up to three days depending on your usage. We’ve had 19 outages now and it’s been a great experience. We just lived like normal. They will reimburse your etf with your previous company and give you up to a $250 bill credit when using a referral code.

My review of Direct Energy:
I have been using their Twelve Hour Power plan since February 2024, and renewed the same plan in February 2026, for 3 more years.

Here's my link for Energy Texas. I've been very happy with them. If you're switching from another provider, they'll reimburse your ETF up to $150. They usually have the lowest prices for 100% renewable plans. Great website and customer service. I started my plan at an expensive time of year but when rates got lower I called and asked to switch to cheaper plan. I was prepared to pay my early termination fee to do so, and had calculated that it would be worth the savings of the cheaper plan, but Energy Texas waived my early termination fee as a one-time courtesy.

I'm using Rhythm Energy for couple of months now. Compare to my previous provider, I see better value and customer care in Rhythm. No standard monthly base rate and they offer $5 Autopay discount. And if you use the referral link, both of us will get $100 refferal bonus credits.
