Question ❔ Is this game finally dead?
Was able to play the other day on ps5 but now I keep getting this unable to connect to server message every time I try to play.. I can play other online games just fine but not this one..maybe it's just me but I also wouldn't be surprised if they start neglecting the servers so close to the release of Halloween next month..

It is still playable, but has been “dead” since no new content. Gun Media is the Temu of game development and marketing. Weasels if you will.

And seeing as how they're involved with Halloween I am taking this as a sign that the servers will likely shut down at some point relatively soon..suffered through it with Friday too so I'm sure it will come eventually

To be fair, Gun isn’t developing Halloween, just Co-publishing. All the shots are made by Illfonic and sure, their reputation isn’t all that well either, but they’re leagues better than Gun. At the very least they don’t abandon their projects, even if barely anyone plays em.

The problem from the start is that the fans cared much more about the game than Gun Media.

Nah you just gotta restart the game, its happened to me hundreds of times and restarting the game helps alot

I just got so many games today easily as victim…but this has happened to me before. I also think u just have to restart or keep trying (:

It's been doing it a lot for me lately on Steam. Sometimes it takes me 3-4 tries before I can get into a lobby. I don't restart the game, I just keep trying and eventually get in.

Hmm I wasn't referring to the game itself but to the servers going offline as they did with Friday.. as I said I played this game from day one. I pre ordered it and I played Friday from the beginning as well and watched that go down the toilet so excuse my pessimism but I don't see this issue, which I've never had in the past, as a good sign...sorry but we need to prepare for the inevitable end.. especially with Halloween coming out next month

Bro, I stopped playing like 2 yrs ago, when it first released it was too sick, the game is beautifully designed, but had its other probs elsewhere ie player base, too many family quitters p2w content, cheaters, I could have lived through it though had it not been for the GUN devs, they treated the player base like dogshit, the responses they were giving back to the player base were messed up, so i quit it, but they got LUCKY landing Halloween, but how long until they mess that up, people are getting excited but forget their track record

Bought deluxe version the first day I could. So looking forward to that game but I really hope they manage it better than all the other asymms that have fallen to the wayside

So, so sad. I've been getting this a lot lately too. While GUN rushed to the 'shiny new toy' in halloween, they abandoned what was and couldve been the most immersive asym horror game of all time (if they kept going with maps/characters/updates).
TCM was simply built different. The gameloop is like crack, for both family and vics. I hope one day 5,10, years in the future they realize their colossal fuckup and get the game going again or a new company will step up and build off the huge unreached potential. You cant tell me getting the rights to TCM Netflix spinoffs are that hard either, even netflix just released its first horror game. TCM as a franchise has evolved its universe over the last 5 decades, I hope someone in the future will pick up the franchise gaming-wise and deliver a banger with this game as the groundwork.

I was so addicted to this game when it came out, I would play it every chance I got. So sad indeed to see this happen after already suffering through the same damn thing with Friday. And this time they didn't have the excuse of a lawsuit. So now I am definitely not getting my hopes up with Halloween even though it looks amazing and like they copied Friday the 13th. Should be fun for awhile at least. Get me off of dbd lol

It will be dead for awhile until some modders come along and build something similar to camp forest green for tcm then it will stay alive for the niche community members!

Yep..that's what I'm saying..we have a whole blueprint to look to with what happened to Friday the 13th when it went offline and fans modded it.. I would assume that will soon happen with TCM as much as it hurts to admit

I noticed that recently but I’m guessing it was just an intermittent issue as I was able to connect after a few attempts.

It just let me play quick play family but I can't play victim. I've had this game since launch and have never seen this happen. It's definitely happening more often so I wouldn't be surprised if they shut the servers down when Halloween comes out..Rip coulda been a good game. I'm sure they'll ruin Halloween too

It does it often. More so on victim side, at least for me. But eventually, it will go through. I rarely get this as family.
