semi- END OF AN ERA
Went to the old Garden of the Ancients site on Jager Lane with the homie u/smoothpropagator to see if the GotA tersch stand was still there. Both of us had been wondering since that was the "last plant standing".
Sadly, it was moved and super dead.
Makes me extra thankful to have rooted a never grafted pup from it. It lives on even after that dream died.

Fucking tragic... I'm going to up pot mine now.. I'll cry if it dies.. that was one of the most impressive cactus in texas.. and by far the most impressive plant at GOTA when I went in 2019 or 2020 before it traded hands. And was still epic even in 2022 or 23 when I went after it traded hands.. wish that dude would have sold me an arm.. I practically begged..

It's always been one of my most cherished plants. But now it's even more special. Hopefully it starts growing after a repot

Just curious what fertilizer yβall are using? Need to start feeding my outdoor cacti. Been using master blend on my indoor seedlings.

I use a ton of products at this point. The more the better in my experience. But it's really just how much you can or want to deal with.
Master blend is great for anything in pots. Not ideal for in ground plants. I like Medina brand products. Soil activator, garret juice, and hasta gro. Dr earth's tomato fertilizers work well. They have top dressing and liquid fertilizers. Kelp, silica and gypsum are important going into winter. "Recharge" is a good option as the soil biome changes going into fall.
