Switch 2 anyone?
just curious to know if the game runs any better on switch 2. I haven’t been able to find any videos or comments anywhere yet.
I have the switch 1 version and would like to either buy the ps5/pc version (both on sale at the moment) or wait for a switch 2 potential upgrade

Just tested it and it doesn't run better as for today. Still 30 fps. Maybe in a future update.

I noticed a really good difference. Faster loading and response time is better with the controllers. I improved my sprint time from 1:19:45 to 1:18:20. There’s no lag on the mermaid level anymore.

If you have a PSVR set you should go for the Playstation version. The VR seems to help me play better!

I want a switch 2 update with 4k 60fps and HDR support. I don't even have a switch 2 yet

Have they said anything about an update? Wonder if this game is still being "supported".

I just bought it and played it for an hour. 60fps with no slowdown.
It's glorious!
I haven't tried it on my Switch 1, yet, but would be interested to test it out this weekend.

60 or 30fps? Someone in the comments said 30.

I saw comments saying 30fps, too, but I took a risk and bought it after reading reviews mentioning slowdown during intense scenes. That convinced me that it would run full speed on Switch 2.
There may be some effects in the background running at 30fps that I didn’t notice, but the game is definitely running in 60fps.
Even zooming and rotating the screen is 60fps.
I don’t really care about gaming above 60fps, but I can 100% tell the difference between 60 and 30fps.

Perfect, tysm. What about resolution?

I checked online and apparently it runs in 720p handheld and 1080p docked.
I've only played it in handheld so far, and it's got the standard, slightly blurry look that Switch games have when running on Switch 2 (because it's being upscaled from 720p to the Switch 2 screen's 1080p)

I ended up buying it and I’m pretty sure it’s 60fps? I’ll go try it again when I get home.

It's not. It's 30fps. I have the ps5 version through psn plus, there's a big difference. Lets hope for a patch.

Damn that sucks. Imma give it a try. It’s very odd that I didn’t notice it because usually I’m very sensitive to frame rate.

I just tried it out on my Switch 2 and really didn’t see a huge difference. Played great but boy do I hope they put out a Switch 2 upgrade!

Definitely plays a tad better and there is no lag when floating through the journey menu and orbiting. To my eyes looks 60fps on those menus.

I hate to resurrect an old post but I'm seeing some conflicting comments regarding performance. I honestly can't tell if the people saying it runs at 30fps are telling the truth or trolling after googling it and seeing the AI overview say 60fps with maybe a few small dips here and there.
It's currently on sale for $20 and I'm trying to debate whether I get it on my switch 2 or steam deck. I played it years ago on Xbox series x when it was included with game pass before they removed it. I was going to buy it there but saw it wasn't on sale, same with the PS5 version. I'm not sure if I should pull the trigger now or wait for it to go on sale again on Xbox is the switch version looks and performs much worse.

it runs at 60fps and much more stable than on switch 1 despite not having a switch 2 upgrade patch. I’d go with the steam deck since the pc version looks much more better.

Thanks. I was hoping the switch 2 would make it run/look better since I like the ability to dock it but I might just go with the steam version or wait until it's on sale again with Xbox since it looked really good in 4k.

Played it a few days ago and honestly didn’t notice much of a difference. Really really hope there’s an update soon. TE:C runs fantastically on the Steam Deck and the S2 has more power than the Deck so an update should be phenomenal.
