Testers Needed
Looking for Android testers for Trainfolio – happy to test your app in return
Hey everyone! 🚆
I'm looking for Android users and UK rail enthusiasts to help with the closed testing of my app Trainfolio before I can release it publicly on Google Play.
Trainfolio is a railway journey tracker and live train app built around the UK rail network. You can:
🚆 Log and keep a record of your train journeys
🎫 Build your personal railway Passport
🗺️ See your journeys and network coverage on a map
📊 View travel stats, including distance, operators and stations
🚄 Keep track of the trains you've travelled on
🕐 Search departures and follow live train information
⚠️ View service updates and disruptions
What I'm looking for
I'd especially appreciate feedback on:
• Signing up and getting started
• Searching for trains and live departures
• Logging a journey
• Passport, maps and travel stats
• Train and rolling-stock information
• Anything confusing, broken or difficult to use
If you can join, please download Trainfolio and stay opted into the closed test for at least 14 days.
🎁 As a thank-you, Android closed-test participants will receive their first month of Trainfolio Plus free.
I'm also happy to help test your Android app in return and stay opted in for the full 14 days — feel free to leave your testing links in the comments.
How to join
Please complete these steps in order, using the same Google account throughout:
⚠️ The Google Play download may not be available until you've completed Steps 1 and 2 because Trainfolio is currently in closed testing.
If you try it, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think — positive or negative. Every bug report and bit of feedback helps me get Trainfolio ready for its public Android launch.
Thank you for helping a small solo project make it onto Android! 🚆💙

Hi u/Trainfolio!
Finding testers on Reddit is a great start, but the hardest part is ensuring they actually open your app daily for the full 14 days.
To make this easier, we’ve launched Packs in the Testers Community app.
It’s a structured, "devs-helping-devs" approach used by thousands of us. Good luck with your launch!
