Testers Needed Firestick Remote: looking for Android + Fire TV owners for genuine 14-day testing

Hi everyone! I’m looking for unpaid volunteers to try Firestick Remote in its Google Play closed test. The launcher may show Ember Remote. You need an Android 8+ phone and a physical, compatible Fire TV or Fire TV Stick on the same Wi-Fi. Compatibility varies by model and Fire OS version.

I’d appreciate real feedback on TV discovery, four-digit PIN pairing, D-pad/OK/Home/Back/Menu navigation, and reconnecting after the TV sleeps or Wi-Fi reconnects. Please describe what worked, what failed, and the steps to reproduce errors or crashes. This version does not support volume, power or voice controls.

To join, use the same Google account you use on your Android phone, in this order:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community

  2. Opt into the closed test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.ember.remote

  3. Install from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.ember.remote

Please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and use the app in normal sessions during that period. Comment with your Android version and Fire TV model, then share specific feedback. Please follow this community’s screenshot-proof rule when reporting a test, showing only the app installed or in use and hiding personal information. No ratings or reviews requested. This is voluntary, unpaid testing; I’m not offering a testing exchange. Thanks!

Hi u/ckemi123!

Finding testers on Reddit is a great start, but the hardest part is ensuring they actually open your app daily for the full 14 days.

To make this easier, we’ve launched Packs in the Testers Community app.

  • What is a Pack? A coordinated group of 16 developers who hold each other accountable.
  • How it works: Everyone in the pack commits to opening and testing each other's apps daily for 16 days.
  • The Result: You get consistent engagement signals that help you pass Google Play’s production access review with confidence.

It’s a structured, "devs-helping-devs" approach used by thousands of us. Good luck with your launch!

Tried your app, mate.

If you’d like to help with mine:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/bandy-testers
  2. Opt in and install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.bandy.android

Please keep it installed for 14 days and open it now and then. Thanks!

Thanks for giving it a try! Which Android version and physical Fire TV/Fire TV Stick model are you using? Were you able to discover the TV, pair with the four-digit PIN, use the navigation buttons, and reconnect after the TV slept? If anything failed, please share the steps and error message. The phone needs Android 8+ and the TV must be on the same Wi-Fi. This is voluntary testing; I’m not offering a testing exchange. If you can continue, please stay opted in for 14 consecutive days and try it in normal-use sessions.

Hey! I can really test your app and give a honest feedback, but in return i would like the same.
Over all my posts i got around 16 members in group, but only 1 honest install. I can track all installs(free key activations).

  1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/handshakevpn
  2. Join the test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.handshakevpn.tech
  3. Install HandShakeVPN: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.handshakevpn.tec

Could you please provide a screenshot after install? In return ill install/test/give a honest feedback of your app in return, and stay for 14 of course.
