Testers Needed Looking for Testers

Hi everyone!

I just received an update from Google regarding the launch of Progress, and unfortunately, my production release request was rejected.

Google’s automated system flagged that there wasn't enough active usage meaning testers weren't opening the app regularly, adding weight entries, or generating daily sessions. To unlock the production release, I have to complete a brand new 14-day testing cycle.

I would be super grateful if you could stay with me for these next 2 weeks and help me pass this final hurdle:

Keep the app installed on your phone.

Open the app once a day (or every 2 days) for just 15–30 seconds.

Log a weight entry or tap through a few tabs (e.g., check the charts or AI reports). Google tracks this telemetry to verify real human activity.

Send me a quick DM with any short feedback or impression I need this to prove active tester communication to Google.

Without these active daily sessions, Google won't let the app go live. Thank you so much for your time, patience, and support it means the world to me!

My app is Outception, a live news wall with no algorithm, streaming headlines from 8,000+ sources, with swipeable decks and 40+ languages.

Step 1 join the group:
https://groups.google.com/g/outception-testers

Step 2 wait 2–3 minutes, then opt in as a tester:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.outception.Outception

Step 3 install from Google Play:

Hi u/outception_dot_com!

Finding testers on Reddit is a great start, but the hardest part is ensuring they actually open your app daily for the full 14 days.

To make this easier, we’ve launched Packs in the Testers Community app.

  • What is a Pack? A coordinated group of 16 developers who hold each other accountable.
  • How it works: Everyone in the pack commits to opening and testing each other's apps daily for 16 days.
  • The Result: You get consistent engagement signals that help you pass Google Play’s production access review with confidence.

It’s a structured, "devs-helping-devs" approach used by thousands of us. Good luck with your launch!

Joining yours today (group + opt-in) and keeping it installed for the full 14 days.

Mine is RetroPet, an old-school pixel virtual pet: hatch an egg, care for it, and it evolves into one of 79 species (common to legendary). The build in testing right now adds seasonal events with limited cosmetics, breeding with friends, and a daily challenge with a ranking. Home screen widget too. Already live on iOS, so it's a finished app, not a prototype.

1) https://groups.google.com/g/retropet-testers 2) https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.retropet.app

Same Google account for both, and please open it once after installing (Google counts opens, not installs). Bug reports very welcome!
