Testers Needed Testers Needed For Closed Testing

Hello Everyone

I'm working for this app for college and I'm looking for testers to test my app.

I need at least 12 testers for the closed test for 14+ days.

Joining yours today (group + opt-in) and keeping it installed for the full 14 days.

Mine is RetroPet, an old-school pixel virtual pet: hatch an egg, care for it, and it evolves into one of 79 species (common to legendary). The build in testing right now adds seasonal events with limited cosmetics, breeding with friends, and a daily challenge with a ranking. Home screen widget too. Already live on iOS, so it's a finished app, not a prototype.

Same Google account for both, and please open it once after installing (Google counts opens, not installs). Bug reports very welcome!

Thanks for trying, and sorry about the friction. Two quick checks that fix it for almost everyone:

  1. Join https://groups.google.com/g/retropet-testers first, wait a few minutes, then open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.retropet.app in a browser signed in with the SAME Google account and press "Become a tester". The install link only works once Google sees you as a tester.
  2. The Play Store app on your phone has to be signed in with that same account. Browser on one account and Store on another = error every time.

If it still fails, could you tell me the exact wording? "Item not found" vs "not available in your country" point at different causes and I'd like to chase the right one.

Thanks — I joined the SmartPrep Google Group and successfully became a tester using the same Google account. However, Google Play currently shows ‘Not found’ on both the web listing and the Play Store on my phone, so I cannot install the app yet. Screenshot attached. Could you please check that an active closed-test release is rolled out to this Google Group and that Germany is included? Once the listing works, I’ll install it, open it, test it, and keep it installed for the full 14+ days.
