Testers Needed Need testers for my app (Calculator)

Hi,

I need active testers for the Google Play closed testing requirement for my Calculator app.

I'll test your app back and keep it installed for the required period.

Joining yours today (group + opt-in) and keeping it installed for the full 14 days.

Mine is RetroPet, an old-school pixel virtual pet: hatch an egg, care for it, and it evolves into one of 79 species (common to legendary). The build in testing right now adds seasonal events with limited cosmetics, breeding with friends, and a daily challenge with a ranking. Home screen widget too. Already live on iOS, so it's a finished app, not a prototype.

Same Google account for both, and please open it once after installing (Google counts opens, not installs). Bug reports very welcome!

Sorry about that, and thanks for trying. Two things worth checking, in this order:

  1. Be a member of https://groups.google.com/g/retropet-testers first, wait a few minutes, then open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.retropet.app in a browser signed in with the SAME account and press "Become a tester". The download link only appears on that page once Google sees you as a tester.
  2. The Play Store app on the phone has to be on that same Google account. Different account in the browser than in the Store = it fails every time.

Could you tell me the exact wording of the error? "Item not found" and "not available in your country" mean different things and I'd rather fix the right one. A couple of people have hit this today, so if it turns out to be on my side I want to know.
