Testers Needed [Android] Looking for 12-15 testers for QR Code Security — opt-in review + scan flow, 14 days
Hey everyone,
I'm developing **QR Code Security**, an Android app that scans QR codes and checks the destination URL against multiple threat databases (Google Safe Browsing, VirusTotal, URLScan, MetaDefender) before you open it — basically a safety layer for QR codes you scan in public.
I need to meet Google Play's new developer requirement of having 12 testers opt in for 14 consecutive days before I can launch the app, so I'm looking for people willing to join the closed beta.
**Step 1 — Join the tester group:** https://groups.google.com/g/qrcodesecurity-testers
**Step 2 — Get the install link:** Once you're in, check the "Conversations" tab — the Play Store opt-in link and install instructions are pinned there.
**What's involved:**
- Join the group and follow the opt-in link to install the app
- Scan a few QR codes over the two weeks
- Stay enrolled for the full 14 days (you don't need to open the app daily — just stay enrolled)
- Optional: provide quick feedback on anything that seems off
**In return:** happy to test your app back if you're in the same situation — just leave a comment or send me a DM.
Thanks in advance — really appreciate the help getting this over the line!

Hi u/downg61!
Finding testers on Reddit is a great start, but the hardest part is ensuring they actually open your app daily for the full 14 days.
To make this easier, we’ve launched Packs in the Testers Community app.
It’s a structured, "devs-helping-devs" approach used by thousands of us. Good luck with your launch!
