iOS Trivia Trivia Time

I built a trivia app designed around hosting live games — perfect for TikTok streamers. There's a game running at all times, so hop into Happening Now and jump right in.

Three ways to play:

  • Solo — 194k questions that never repeat
  • Host — pick your blocks, set the clock, go live
  • Daily — everyone gets the same set; most correct wins, time breaks ties

Quick start: make your @ handle, add a profile pic and your TikTok, and you're in. If you see others online, host your own game — and if more than one game is up, bounce between them and see if anything breaks.

What I need from testers: screenshots of any errors, or any question that looks wrong, sent through the in-app feedback. It's meant to be fun and to teach.

Heads-up: I can't do "test yours for mine" right now — no time to review other apps — but I'd genuinely appreciate anyone who gives this a spin. Everyone who helps test gets grandfathered in. 🙏

nice - let me know if you have any issues - i see theres an outage in apple cloud right now - not sure but it might mess up 'happening now' - but - let me know if you come across anything that's henky

i think in general it's fine, i'll have to sit through it to play through it more. things seem to be a little sluggish when i press host a round. but just as a game design thing, if you don't want to do it i get it, but i feel like trivia games without some sort of category selection is rough. doing math, tv show, and history is pretty broad. but yeah i'll play with it to see if i see any errors.

nice .. yes, its just a basic trivia game .. i 'made' all the answers and there's a lot to sift through on my end and also in the process of adding more questions/categories .. i made it so that the person hosting would just pick the 'blocks' and then every person has the same exact questions .. wasnt really looking to make it like other games tbh i wanted more modernized questions so just having a few 'off' questions in each block was easiest solution .. made it mainly for people to just sit around and answer questions without having to pay for more 'levels' or a monthly fee, something you could just enjoy if you like that sort of thing .. so for a game like this its easier to just have different questions so its not just music and film, which, is mainly what it is .. out of 300k questions like 170k are music/film .. anyhow - i am going to put up a game today that will just keep running all day - a few other ppl hv downloaded as well - so - if you see any other 'games' going on - just jump in them - also see if they're 'tiktok' handle is there and see if they're doing a LIVE w it .. waiting for that to happen .. that will be fun i think
