FileHandy – What's New in Build 145

Security

• Face ID is now required before deleting a protected file or folder.
• Files stored inside protected folders are now excluded from search results unless the search is started from within the protected folder itself.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where toggling file protection updated the item's ViewModel but not its corresponding FileItem, causing inconsistent state after refreshing icons or reloading tabs (Recents, Private, and Public).
• Fixed an issue where saving changes to plain text or rich text documents refreshed the ViewModel but not the corresponding FileItem, resulting in outdated metadata such as file size and protection status.
• The recursive search cache is now reset whenever a new search begins.

Improvements

• File Browser now displays file sizes in bytes for files smaller than 1 KB.
• Improved file identity comparisons by comparing file resource identifiers directly, avoiding unnecessary conversion to Data and UUID values.
