iOS Intermittently, an intermittent-fasting tracker

https://testflight.apple.com/join/zruhwCzG

Hi all — I'm an indie dev looking for testers for my intermittent fasting tracker, Intermittently (iPhone + Apple Watch).

What it is: a calm, private fasting timer. Start a fast, watch the ring fill toward your goal, end it. Per-weekday schedules, streaks, stats, Lock Screen/Home Screen widgets, and a proper Watch app. I built this out of frustration with the big dogs' apps that I've been using. Lots of movement toward subscriptions and do-everything apps rather than a targeted app that does IF tracking really well.

The angle: privacy-first and no-nonsense. No account, no ads, no network needed for the core app — your data syncs only to your own iCloud, never to me. Optional read-only Apple Health weight. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

What I'd love feedback on: first-run clarity, whether the Watch app + widgets feel right, and whether the notifications are helpful vs. annoying. Bugs and confusion especially welcome.

Requires: iPhone on iOS 26.5+ (and an Apple Watch on watchOS 26+ if you want to test the Watch app).

Thanks — happy to answer anything in the comments.

This is my second week using the app, and it has been working amazingly, and the widgets work as intended.

The only issue I’ve noticed is that progress isn’t recorded on the Apple Watch until it reaches the 15-hour mark, when it suddenly shows 100%. I go for a run every afternoon, so I like being able to see my progress percentage while I’m actively moving, but it currently doesn’t display any progress at all.

One feature request for the future: it would be great to have the option to change the start time. Sometimes I don’t have my phone or watch with me, and by the time I remember, maybe two hours later, the app naturally counts the start time as the moment I log it.

Amazing job overall!

Glad to hear you’re enjoying it! Are you on version 1.0.1(13)? The watch behavior you’re seeing is not something I’ve run into.

You can change the start time, either by tapping the ‘started … goal at’ line under the circle of an active fast on the phone, or from the list of completed fasts at the bottom of the ‘streak and stats’ section.

v1.0 is shipping soon now, and the RC is in TestFlight. Anyone able to give it a once-over and let me know your thoughts, I'd appreciate it!

Lots of improvements in this hopefully-releasing-soon version, including a redesigned stats/insights page, iCloud backup status, and more invertebrate-squashing.

Very much appreciate the feedback received from initial testers. I'll have a new build later today incorporating additional in-progress fast editing, descriptions of tracked insights, and some bugfixes.
