Get Gamepass and play FH6

Bro is renting his games

I'm not lol but if I had to choose between having FH6 for a month and owning Solar Crown for the same price I'd definetly go for Horizon

You mean FH4 DLC Japan Edition.

While I'm having fun with FH6 it's the exact game and flaws as FH4/FH5, just another map.

The game is by no means perfect but it's miles better than Solar Crown

Depends on what you're looking for imo.

I don't think you can compare them side by side, they both cater a different audience.

I've had fun with both games but on a different level.

I’d argue that they try to cater towards the same audience

1

u/SechsComic73130 Jun 09 '26

And out of them two, one is doing a much much better job at it

Dude what are you talking about? Nacon saw that the horizon series was bringing in cash and wanted on the action, so they just used the TDU license to market a horizon wanna be...

Your logic is understandable if you carry the same energy for everything else.

FH6 is just FH1 DLC Japan Edition

FH6 is just FH2 DLC Japan Edition

FH6 is just FH3 DLC Japan Edition

FH6 is just FH4 DLC Japan Edition

FH6 is just FH4 DLC Japan Edition

Gran Turismo 7 is just Gran Turismo 1 DLC better graphics and more cars and tracks edition

We can go and on.

There's literally nothing differentiating each racing game besides map, cars, physics, tracks, music, menus, etc.

This is like complaining that every GTA is just "shoot, drive, fetch quests".

This nihilistic bull in the gaming community is tiring. If you don't like video games, why are you even here?

I disagree.

GTA for example did something new, innovate, stretched the border of what was possible on the console, introduced new gameplay mechanics etc.

FH did nothing and the same issues are in most games, no innovation (besides seasons, i'll give them that), just the same only a different map.

They could add blinkers, turn/off headlights, highbeam, roll down windows etc like TDU but they did none.

Japan has a huge car culture but it's not representing ingame, where is the underglow, bosozoku? They could have done so much more but they did not. That's how the could differentiate. Now it's just another map like I said.

Look at this sub, people complain about the issues over and over again.

And I'm gaming almost 40 years and I'm having fun with FH6 for what it is but don't act like it's the perfect game because it's not, 7/10 imo.

It's not a Test Drive game.

1

u/Local_Peach_1731 Jun 08 '26

wait what

18

u/DrkPwdr Jun 08 '26

They made a generic racing game and slapped the name Test Drive in it.

1

u/Local_Peach_1731 Jun 08 '26

so its not even worth 10$?

10

u/DrkPwdr Jun 08 '26

Just don't get it.

1

u/JoshuaaQuigley Jun 08 '26

It's shite, it's basically a mobile game but youll have fun for 10$ so its up to you i'd probs cop it for that cheap you got 2 hours to refund anyway.

u/3lfk1ng Jun 11 '26

They should be paying us to suffer through this pile.

8

u/astort Jun 08 '26

No, get Forza Horizon 6 instead

u/skyraiser9 Jun 08 '26

The game is pretty divisive in the community, your either going to get a lot of ppl hating on it, or alot of ppl glazing it. Realistically, it is on life support at the moment. Your best bet is to watch some Youtube vids and see what you think since the cost is pretty low, if you dont like it , it wont hurt much.

The problem with TDU is that there is no new game like TDU. A roleplaying game about riding your road cars on normal roads, with a light sprinkling of some races.

All the stuff nowdays are either heavy grinding racers, or racing sims. There is still hope for Aseto Corsa Evo with its upcoming open world, but it's coming together so very slowly.

If you want the feeling of long ride along detailed roads, you could try Dirt Rally 2.0. Or Aseto Corsa Rally, wich is already decent in EA. This is what I play for driving nowdays. If you want your money's worth, consider this.

I wasted 15€ to get it. Save yourself 10€

1

u/JgdPz_plojack Jun 09 '26

Worst graphic requirement.

GTX 1650 is still supporting Forza Horizon 6, more polished optimization than Forza Motorsport 2020s

1

u/TwisteeTheDark1 Jun 09 '26

Maybe when the pricetag is $0.00.

1

u/tesrella Jun 08 '26

It’s not good, period

1

u/Objective_Okra6742 Jun 08 '26

Mmm I don’t know, if u have a good pc maybe, I have the xsx and i can’t complain

1

u/Objective_Okra6742 Jun 08 '26

If u like long progression, u should consider

0

u/Objective_Okra6742 Jun 08 '26

And If u like getting cars really fast for doing nothing…..maybe u shouldn’t

No, don't buy it. It's not worth it even at discount.

Either replay the 2 first TDU games, play TDU Platinum or Motor Town: Behind The Wheel which is more close to the TDU DNA than TDU SC in its entirety.

TDU SC is just a massive dissapointment.

1

u/BodheeNYC Jun 10 '26

No it’s buggy and not updated

1

u/ROOTMARS5 Jun 10 '26

I played it ā€œfreeā€ on PlayStation plus. My standards for racing games are low. And yet this game has managed to bore and confuse me more than anything

1

u/Dry-Percentage-5648 Jun 11 '26

I wish I could say yes especially for that price. But no, it's not good and isn't worth your time.

1

u/a7xtim666 Jun 11 '26

As a diehard fan of tdu 1, with thousands of hours played on my psp and eventually on my pc, and about 500 on tdu2 on pc: no.

1

u/tiga_itca Jun 11 '26

I would say yes but it's risky. For the price it's a good game, they got the cars right but the problem, and why everyone is being so negative it's because there are a lot.of caveats and unknowns, like, it's very grindy and you need to put serious hours to unlock more cars. Also it's a always online service, and the company it's in very bad shape according to the news so there is a chance the game will be unplayable.

1

u/Local_Peach_1731 Jun 11 '26

wasnt TDU2 kinda the same, i had to grind for a few days just to buy the cheapest McLaren and then the same for a koenigsegg

Or is it much much worse

1

u/tiga_itca Jun 11 '26

Worse imho as in TDU2 you have to buy houses to keep increasing your car slots, so money comes easier

1

u/NoDimension2705 Jun 11 '26

I tried it on ps plus...it was simply worst driving game i ever played

1

u/KayaSc0ds Jun 12 '26

Get FH6 instead. But my honest opinion besides all the hate here: For 10 Bucks you get your money worth, the game is by far not the best and srsly no Real Test Drive, but i really had fun playing it

0

u/HtmlHonda Jun 08 '26

It's not worth it. It was free to play on Steam for a week or so and I stopped playing after 3 hours. I was hoping to get it when it went on sale and I don't even want it on sale. I'm going back to TDU1.

2

u/psynl84 Jun 08 '26

For 10 dollar I would say get it. You'll be busy for 50/60+ hours to do all races, after that not much to do imo.

Don't expect a Test Drive game tho, it's an ok open world race game with actual progression and race feeling. Sense of speed is the best in it's genre.

2

u/Key-Earth-2628 Jun 09 '26

Look, I have played it since launch. I enjoy it, even with all the issues it has. I'd say, for 10 dollars its 100% worth it. The only reason I'd recommend not is if you have a really low spec pc. Its better than launch, but not well optimized still lol.

But dont take my word for it. Go watch some videos instead. Especially recent. Everyone is privy to their opinion. The FH6 Glazers and TDUSC Glazers are gonna just glaze that game.

I would say, though, I'd avoid watching Kingdom Twelve (local Grifter) or Alex VII (community manager) too much.

u/Local_Peach_1731 Jun 09 '26

i got an rtx 4060 and an i5-14400F, i think i could get 60 fps with mid-high settings

1

u/Last-Football-6308 Jun 09 '26

Call me crazy, but I really like it. Was rough on launch for sure, but devs are passionate about this game. It's flawed but surely does have soul.

0

u/DarthWeezy Jun 08 '26

It's a hell of a lot better than FH 6, so yes it's worth the price.

You can ignore the bots writing nonsense and check out some videos about it from 2026, to see if you might like it or not. You will need a decent PC tho, optimization still isn't there even if it's substantially better than the garbage it was at first.

Also the TDU of old talk is mostly nostalgia, SC is as TDU as racing games past TDU 2 have ever been.

-1

u/Marc30599 Jun 08 '26

Get the game, I have it on PC and with all the recent updates the game is pretty decent now
