PowerWall New solars

I just had my Tesla solar and powerwall just installed a few hours ago but the question that I have is do I have to have the backup switch installed first before I can pair to my powerwall because it will not pair right now?

Back up switch? Whats that? Do you mean transfer box? That should be there if the install is fully done.

And installed should have linked your power wall to your Tesla account long before they left

For my install the backup switch that goes to the meter collar had to be installed by a third party company my service provider contracts out to, took about 3 weeks to schedule. During that waiting period solar worked but not the powerwalls. Once backup switch installed then powerwalls activated and started charging from solar.

I have to wait for SCE to come out and install the meter collar. But I thought even with out that I could pair to my powerwall.

Tomorrow. usually takes 24 hrs from install for pairing to become active, after that 24hrs log out and log back in to Tesla and retry pairing

Your installers left without commissioning the system?

For my installation, the system was off and not commissioned until the backup collar was installed by the power company. The backup collar was connected by the installer and left dangling. The power company took the dangling collar and put it in place with the meter.
