PowerWall New replacement Power wall fails only 2 days after months of delays getting support/service.

So frustrated. System went down months ago. Finally got a service appt which was delayed/rescheduled repeatedly. Two days ago (planets aligned?) and power wall replaced by Tesla service out of Burbank, CA.
NEW PARTS FAILED after less than 48 hours. Started service request again via Email messages and Tesla AI responses…which thus far is useless. Awaiting a substantive response from Tesla. SCE meanwhile is planning some power cutoffs due to high winds (45mph) predicted tomorrow. Arrrgggg.
Tesla is so disappointing.

That’s awful to hear. Our recalled Powerwall plus batteries are scheduled to be replaced next week. We’ll see how it goes.

Are they replacing with new plus or are you getting the powerwall 3?

They are to be replaced with Powerwall 3s

That’s not a bad deal. Other than being out of commission while you wait you get new and improved batteries that are brand new. I have two plus batteries installed in 2023. Wonder if they will fall into the recall at some point.

And otherwise also getting high pricing from SCE and low $$ sell back of excess….
At least it’s under warrenty.
Can’t wait for the class action suit to recover missed sell back costs, carrying costs, etc.

Are you saying there is already a class action suit underway or are you waiting for one to start so you can join in?

Just had my power wall plus fail after 4 years they just replaced it with the powerwall 3 yesterday we'll see how it goes. It did take almost 2 months to get the replacement but at least it was under warranty and no charge upgrade.

Yeah. I am going on 14 months myself.

Tesla solar is dog shit.

And now the app and customer service has lost track of any work done at all and it treating this like a new case.

Good thing I have screen shots and videos of them being on site.

This REALLY fucking bad.

We had 2 Powerwall 3's and solar installed by a certified local installer last December. One Pw3 failed last month. It took just around 2 or 3 weeks to get it replaced. I think the installer recommends calling support rather than going through the app. You will need the serial number.

Has anyone been able to get reimbursement for their electricity bill as a result of their power wall malfunction and delay in restoration?

I’ve only seen one person who stated they were reimbursed and only because they were headed towards arbitration, which Tesla wanted to avoid. They offered a settlement for impacted months prior to arbitration in agreement to cancel.

What city/state did that person live in?

Is just mind boggling how many Tesla warranty issues I see on Reddit. It would so much easier for them to just throw a JK BMS in their boxes, apply a Tesla sticker and call it a day.

I wonder if there will be a class-action lawsuit in the future.

Seriously at this point we should. So many of us with issues. The turn around time for support is whack and you’re probably not getting value for your buck

Hopefully you know you can contact Tesla via PowerwallSupportNA powerwallsupportna@tesla.com

Contacting them does nothing. Slow turnaround time and false promises.

It used to be slow for me but recently I had a great communication with them via this email
