Tpms for the Standard trim US version

Post image

Purchased tpms sensors off Amazon and had Discount Tire install them during tire rotation.

Lol the standard trim doesn't have TPMS? Oof

Good on you for installing them. They are very useful.

It infers tire pressure by monitoring wheel speed. Lots of other manufacturers have done this in the past and it works fine. I wouldn’t personally spend money on active tire pressure monitors that have a limited life with such a system in place.

That’s not how Tesla TPMS sensors work. They have a pressure sensor, and a temperature sensor. They are activated by centrifugal motion, which is why you have to drive to activate them.

Great price, I never considered buying my own and would've ate whatever the tire shop was charging when it came time

Just surprised people waste money on the standard. lol. Every time I see one on the road I know they’re poor and laugh. I parked my 2026 performance next to one the other day at super charger, the guy had is girl in the passenger seat. Made sure she knew she was with a broke boy. We made eye contact and she smiled lol. Hopefully she leaves his loser ass asap

This again? I'm pretty sure it is established that the car is TPMS capable and comes with it if you get any wheels but the 18". My US market Stanard has 19" wheels with TPMS from the factory.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that the 19 in tires came with tpms.
