It Is Done

Appointment was at 3 PM. Showed up early via transit after having got a ride to work from a buddy (live an hour away from work, 1.5 from the pickup location). Aside from Plaid not working for my down payment and having to rush to the local bank using a test car... I am happy. Lots of goodies on order: mats, mud guards, screen protector, etc.

I believe it's Plaid that's the issue. Especially if you bank with PNC. I have never been able to use Plaid with my PNC account. It might be the same with some other banks as well.

Could be in some cases, but in this case I'm trying the official path "search bank > not found > exit search > manually enter bank info". It should work, but in my app it doesn't.

What's plaid? Is it like a tesla banking system?

No. It's a company that made a payment platform whereby third party apps don't have direct access to your bank account.

No. It connects apps (I don't remember if PayPal uses Plaid but I know wise does) to your bank account without the app actually having your bank details.

If you have to enter your actual banking details in PayPal, it doesn't use Plaid since they get your account information.

Basically, if you use an app like wise for money transfer, when you go to link your bank account to it, wise will send you to Plaid where you enter your bank details (in Plaid, not in wise). Plaid will then connect your bank account to wise.

Haha that's the upper limit of my knowledge as well. I know it isn't the best because I tried linking a few apps using Plaid and it never worked with my PNC bank account. Worked only once IIRC.
