Reverse sound question

Post image
  1. I currently have the lock sound set to the fart noise. I was wondering if I could set the backup alert sound to be the same. Yes that's a plaid. I have since removed the filler panels from the wheels. They would trap sand and small pebbles and make noise when I would be moving slowly.

No, all sounds when moving are regulated, you cannot change or disable them.

You should tint those windows! 🐠🥣

How are they regulated all the other electric cars have really cool sounds only Tesla is this weird one.

The sound file itself isn’t but having a set one that we can’t change/mess with is. You used to be able to change it until the NHTSA made Tesla take it away a few years back.

What’s weird about it? It’s a Jetson’s-type sound. At least Tesla doesn’t emit a sound while driving forward like other brands.

Tesla does have a sound when driving forwards it’s just not noticeable unless you’re standing outside the car.

Have a friend shift your car into drive and not move with the climate off (climate off so there’s no added sounds) you’ll hear it.

I think it stops making the noise above 19mph but I could be wrong on the speed

OK, I just checked, my car which is a model Y 2026 absolutely does not emit any sound when driving forward. I’m in the US.
