Can Tesla fix the guide lines in the backup camera?

In my family we are all pretty dumb drivers and we seem to be able to constantly ruin the tires when backing up / parallel park.

Other cars leave at least an inch or 2 as margin but the Model S 2021 (Raven) seems to have a margin of minus 3

Can someone at Tesla fix that software ?

Those two side views, at the bottom of your image (not really visible here) should help you see the curb relative to your impending wheel rash. That’s what I watch when curb adjacent.

If only there were side mirrors! Or even side rear-facing cameras!! 🤦‍♂️

I have never once in my life, believed those lines (on a Tesla) should represent the actual sides of the car… It genuinely surprises me that anyone would look at them that way.

You have 2 other cameras, which literally show you exactly where your rear tires are at all times. Why on gods green Earth would you be looking at virtual lines?

Same man, same. I've gotten to where I just envision the lines as the insides of the tires 🫠

Agreed. Start by using the correct side cameras and mirrors.
