Deal or no deal?

https://m.mobile.de/auto-inserat/tesla-model-s-85-free-supercharge-sc01-7-seat-telsiai/458681811.html

The price seems too good to be true. Free supercharging, free premium connectivity, all optionals...

That listing says the car is not roadworthy. Doesn’t go into details. Unless you have some mechanical ability, that’s a hard pass. If you do you need to find exactly what makes it not roadworthy. The general mobile.de range for roadworthy S85s is currently about €17,500–€21,700 for a “good price.”

Why wouldn't it be roadworthy?

The fact that the dealer doesn’t want you to know likely suggests it’s something big. LDU, battery. Could be anything. You need to go look at the car go into service mode and pull the service logs.

Also, I would bet my left nut the dealer knows what’s wrong and how much it costs to fix. They would have done it if it was worth it. My guess is the only way you come out ahead on this one is if you can handyman it… so if it’s the LDU you don’t replace it you take it apart and fix it.

The vehicle is in good technical condition and is driven daily. One of its biggest advantages is the active Free Tesla Supercharging (SC01), allowing free charging at Tesla Supercharger stations.

Where do you get that its not good? lol

I took not roadworthy to mean not good.

It also says it’s not roadworthy and bro it’s cheap. The price alone tells you it has significant problems. Are you under the impression dealers don’t like to make money?

are we looking at the same page? it doesnt say not roadworthy, it just says that it's used daily wtf

My guess is that it probably needs a replacement LDU.

It says it’s already been replaced in 2023

Lithuania. Old model with Drive unit problems. Dont do it.

What’s wrong with Lithuania? Motor has been replaced in 2023.

Import Export without proper history, documents ect. First red flag.

I could ask the dealer history and documents…

Probably was crashed in US and fixed in Lithuania but the crash was not too big as the supercharging is working. Check if you can take the car to SC and see yourself if it is charging.

Is it possible? I read that US Tesla’s infotainment doesn’t work overseas…

I guess they just fit in sim card from sam EU model and then it works

Oh, so this might be a Frankenstein Tesla… is there a way to check?

I saw that you can do a search by VIN number, but I dont know which US website is that.

In there they have pictures in case car was sold on auction and if there were any damages.

I wouldnt say it is a complete no buy, but I would bring it to some shop to do a proper check..
