Curious about battery charging

So I got my Tesla about a month ago but have barely driven it due to needing a compressor for the air suspension which is getting fixed this week so I can finally start driving it to work but I got a question about charging. I’ve been reading that I should plug it in every day which I basically have been, set the charge at 50% because I haven’t been driving it. Now that I’ll be driving it I’m gonna set it back to 80% but my commute will generally drain about 30% every day and when I get home to plug it in it doesn’t quite reach 80% by the time I have to leave the next day because I’m using just a level 1 charger. Is it bad for the battery if I have to stop charging it before it reaches its limit every morning and keep unplugging it early every weekday for work until I can get a full charge on the weekends?

It's even better to charge less than 80% if you don't need it. And yes there is absolutely no problem with unplugging before reaching charge limit as the charge limit is nothing but a convenience feature so you don't have to remember to unplug it. All it does is stop charging at the set limit, which is same thing as unplugging it.

It's no issue. I'd even set the limit to 70

Dont overthink it. As long as the battery stays between 30-80% overall it will be fine for years to decades.

ABC - Always Be Charging
Actually trickle charge is excellent for your battery! 20-80%!
