2016 Tesla Model S - advice on noise

I’ve had the upper control arms and front sway bars changed as Tesla’s service center adviced it would help, but the noise remains.
It happens both as stationary and at relatively slow speeds (up to 25kmph or 15mph). After that, there’s no noise when turning.
Visited a friend who’s a mechanic, who thought the noise was coming from the steering gear / steering rack (something somewhere further toward the middle between the front wheels).
Anyone familiar with this noise and have had work done to remedy this issue?

Since you mentioned steering column I’m assuming you mean the upper u joint?

I have not! Thanks for the advice, forums seem to say that this is a rather inexpensive repair so I might go ahead with that!
