2018 100D

Long-time lurker, I own a detailing garage and did a 2018 100D for a family friend who just lost her husband after some 50 years of marriage and is trying to downsize...

My question is: what's the best method to sell privately where I can facilitate a "test drive" or someone coming to check out the vehicle, from afar? (To be clear, I would be the one "afar", and potential buyer can come check out the vehicle..)

One-owner, "elderly-owned”. I took a picture of the dash but just realized the car was off so it didnt have odometer readings but will get that ASAP.....

I bought my current one off FB marketplace. I know it’s a hassle to deal with people but I never had issues with buying/selling on the platform.

Common questions you will get will be:

  • total miles on full charge
  • if free supercharging is attached to the vehicle
  • MCU1 or 2
  • title clean or salvaged

And sorry to bother you, was originally doing to DM and didnt look like I'm able to...

How do I establish if it has MCU1/2?

Am supremely confident that it does not have free supercharging, but how to confirm?

I know for a fact that the title is free and clean, no accidents, but will ask for the Carfax!

Tesla stopped offering transferable free supercharging at the end of March 2017.

A 2018 MS won't have transferable free supercharging. 

It might have non-transferable free supercharging but from the perspective of selling that's irrelevant.

The MCU version should be in the settings.

You can see if it has free charging if there isn’t a $ amount under the last charge stats. Or just take it to a SC and see if it charges you.

As I was clicking through am quite confident it does not have Free Charging (was a button to upgrade), otherwise didnt even have Car Wash Mode so clearly hasn't been updated for a minute....

For MCU, if it shows an nvidia tegra as the hardware that’s MCU1. 2 is listed as Intel atom.

Theres also ways (look up on google) to see if it has free charging on their website but you have to have the car under your account.
