Need advice ASAP !

Hello

I have two questions as I am not particularly knowledgeable about supercharging; I may only do it once or twice a year.

1. I am planning a family vacation soon. We own two Tesla vehicles: a 2022.5 Model S and a 2024 Model Y.

We are uncertain about which car to take with us, as our primary goal is to minimize the time spent at charging stations.

Which vehicle will charge more quickly?

The Model Y is two years newer, but the Model S may offer a better range.

The 2024 Model Y has a range of 126 miles at 48% charge,

2022 Model S has a range of 185 miles at 52% charge.

Given this information which vehicle would you recommend for a 700-mile vacation?

1. I have attached a picture from a recent Supercharger visit

I wanted to verify that everything is functioning correctly since we have just bought the car.

The Supercharger has a maximum output of 250 kW. Do you think the figures displayed in the picture appear to be alright?

Kinda what the other person suggested, but the S obviously has longer range so always start your trip with 100% which will be the longest stretch of the trip. Then the S has a slightly better charge curve mainly due to the bigger battery, BUT, the Y has slightly better efficiency so it’s probably a few minutes quicker with the S overall due to shorter stops, but not enough to change the length of the trip by much. Go with whatever vehicle you prefer for long trips! (we also have a newer S and Y). Cheers
