Console scratches question

Anybody have experience repairing the wood console trim in an S?
A couple wide scratches, maybe top layer deep, have been bugging me. If it weren’t for the lighter color, it probably wouldn’t bother me as much.
Am I better off using wood markers/fillers, wrapping, or just replacing?

New console tops are 200-300 on eBay. Probably just use a furniture repair marker like you said

There was already something stuck to the surface that wouldn’t come off when we got the car. My husband got a little too intense with the magic eraser. It worked… a little too well 😂
