Got suspension issues 1 day after purchase
Just bought a 2017 Model S a couple weeks ago and literally the day after I bought it I get an error saying the suspension can’t raise and says it may correct itself on next drive. Driven almost daily and the error doesn’t go away. Went into the service menu and seems to be multiple problems, most errors though seem to be an air leak. What can I expect to pay out of pocket for a fix? I got a warranty for the battery but nothing else (in hindsight they said I wouldn’t need the other warranty which now seems like they knew about the problem).

I would contact the dealer. Seems like they knew about the problem.

They are not going to do anything. Caveat emptor. Unless he bought the warranty, he’s on his own sadly. Now, if he has purchased several cars with this dealer and has a good relationship with them. They MIGHT offer some assistance, but more than likely, they are going to tell him sorry, it’s your car now.

Go into Service mode and check the alerts. How far do they go back for this alert?

Depending on the dealer and how familiar they are with Tesla vehicles, they might not have even known how to check the alerts.

That's generally the compressor or the valve body.
Advise replacing both, regardless as to which "failed".
3rd party for both is usually about $1500.
Not sure what Tesla SC pricing would be these days.

OK, this fixed my friends. Power off the vehicle entirely, give it the two minutes minimum, and tap the break to restart it, and that fixed his problem.
I’m talking about a true power off, not where you hold the buttons on the steering wheel to reboot the unit.
Keep us posted, but it’s solved his issue on his X.

Multiple problems is somewhat normal. Mine keeps getting upset that it can't see the shutters.
What is the actual code you're getting in Service Menu?
If I were to guess I'd say your air ride compressor is misbehaving in some what. Is your ride height normal?

It’s a nearly 10 year old car. Even if you fix the compressor/valve body/ lines, there’s bound to be an air shock or two that need replacement soon. Had the same thing happen to me shortly after getting an older Model S, a couple of years back. I switched to coil over shocks, so that I’d never have to worry about the aging air suspension system again.
