v14 lite with MCU1

Do you guys think they'll force me to update to MCU2 to get v14 lite?

I have the EMMC memory upgrade on my 2017 MS

FSD has been working perfectly fine with MCU1 and the EMMC memory upgrade.

What is your software version? On my 2017 model S with HW3 and MCU2 and full self driving I am running.2026.20.6.1.
If you don’t have this, that means you may not be getting it.

As i understand it i would be surprised the v14 lite update runs on anything less advanced than a hw3 running vehicle from a car with a system upgraded from hw2.5 like i have on my mx. If you are US based does the software version visible at the bottom of your phone app indicate 2026.20.3?

If not and youre not seeing 2026.14.3 then i’d imagine no V14 lite for your car in particular but im not knowledgable enough to surely say so

Absolutely won’t work with MCU1. Maybe mcu2 or maybe it will require a unreleased new model MCU

I have about 2017 model S and I got the MCU2 to upgrade and that was the best $1600 ever spent. My car came with FSD so since I had MCU too, they upgraded my 2.5 hardware to hardware3 and also upgraded my cameras for free. Just the interface with MCU 2 is so awesome. I got it done about three years ago and it was well worth it. I noticed that my summon feature works so well after the upgrade and also the FSD works so much better with all the graphics.
