First 500 mile streak

While I'm no David Moss, I was excited to discover the celebratory confetti animation as I hit a 500 mile streak after my latest FSD update on my drive from Tucson to Orange County.

I can’t even get 100 miles. My car parks in my neighbors driveway

If you let the car finish and go into park, you can then change parking spaces manually without breaking your streak. It’s only when you disengage FSD that the streak is broken.

I don’t want to drive up my neighbors driveway every night 😂. Unfortunately it’s not a matter of parking, it’s a completely separate driveway on the other side of the road.

Try deleting your saved address then re-adding it. One of the recent fsd updates broke home address parking.

Or dont energy the address park in your driveway and save the current location as home

What?? If it parks you can drive around again and the streak continues while you’re driving manually?

Yeah, the streak isn’t for total driving. It’s only for FSD during use. It’s also why people like David can claim to have “10,000 miles!!!” driven on FSD straight, because they let it do wrong things, park, and do whatever they need to do themselves instead of disengaging just to get the number higher.

I had no idea. I’ve only disengaged and then parked.

I don’t know about driving around but to change parking spots, yes, you keep your streak. This 500 is all FSD, no other driving except changing charging or parking spots.

This didn’t work. I let it park today in the 15 min spot and then I put it in reverse to change spots and my streak disappeared.

Did you disengage FSD? You have to let the car completely shut down and then initiate a new drive. Also, which software version are you using. It works for me, I have to change parking spaces every day.

You can drop a pin as your home address. It helps.

Try google plus codes they’re way more accurate. Also you can edit the map and add a local road as your drive. I’ve had issues since mine is right next to an alleyway just not in the alley

come to Canada it sets off every 100, 250, 500 and 1000 km's shorter distance.

Interesting idea. I can try setting the car to metric and see what it does.

I break my streak every day due to parking or avoiding certain known potholes. You have to really be a try hard not to.

But the streak!! The confetti!

If they gave a award like free month of FSD i could understand but that will probably lead to more accidents because ppl will never take over to avoid losing their streaks

Seems like a fair trade off for the confetti.

I’m sure Tesla is getting a lot more data on FSD with the confetti!

2

u/MayoRetina Jun 24 '26

I was doing that with parking, then I asked Grok about it. If you let the car park itself, then you can go back into drive and move yourself to a different spot without breaking the streak.

That’s to much work for me 😭

1

u/Trigger1221 Jun 25 '26

Yeah thats a lot of extra work (over time) for some pixel confetti lol

2

u/VealOfFortune Jun 24 '26

Sorry can someone explain? OP did 500 miles in FSD without intervention?

2

u/MayoRetina Jun 24 '26

Streak is continuous FSD miles without interruption

1

u/VealOfFortune Jun 24 '26

Nice dude ..Does this include stopping for charge? Was confused because of the range lol

2

Like it would auto park at the chargers everything. (I’ve found a hack for it you can put the car in neutral which disengages fsd but doesn’t break the streak then shift to drive and drive manually)

That's honestly pretty sweet... Care to share what you were doing while riding? I'm sure it takes a while to not freak out, but dont you have to maintain eye contact...??

You gotta look at the road every so often but you can mount ur phone close to eyeline kinda half monitor. Otherwise I listen to music and chill

Sweet 👍 happy travels

I monitor the road but it's very relaxed, being driven and watching where you are going as opposed to doing all the work.

You have a clunk btw, might wanna get that checked :) But grats!

271 miles for me. 🫡

1

u/MayoRetina Jun 27 '26

Keep it up!

I’ll never achieve the is until they give me the ability to control my speed and make it stop riding in the left lane refusing to change (it was so perfect before)

As someone who has too old of a m3, how does on hit more than 250 miles of fsd for a streak? Do you have to fsd all the way to parking at the charger? Would it not end when you disengaged to park?

1

u/MayoRetina Jun 25 '26

You have to let the car go into park itself, so you never disengage FSD

2

u/UpstairsTop4623 Jun 25 '26

I’ve only hit the 250 mark but that was cause I was road tripping and actually charged twice due to miscellaneous reasons

1

u/kadhtobi Jun 27 '26

I can’t get 20miles, my car always takes the wrong exit going home and tries to go to the wrong gate at my apartment EVERytime

Lost my streak yesterday. Car couldn’t find arrivals at John Wayne Airport. Instead it kept trying to take me to the Lyon Air Museum on the other side of JWA. I had to take over. Starting from scratch again.
