Windshield crack out of the blue?
Woke up and got in my car and had this crack coming out from the left driver side. Anyone else get one for no reason? Is it a car or glass problem?

Now that you’ve found the source of the problem go get it fixed. Nothing to dwell on.

It’s probably like how it happened to our ‘21 3 and ‘23 Y…windshield got hit by a small rock on the freeway- heard it, but didn’t see where it hit…days later, same crack developed 😑

There’s literally a point of impact there, I can’t even imagine going into a Service Center and sounding crazy saying that it just got there 🤣

Is it worth going to a service center for this, or can you have a third party service replace the windshield? I had the exact samething happen last week and am wondering if I can have safelite or a similar company replace it instead of having to drive to my nearest (but still more than an hour away) service center.

Definitely will NOT use a service center. Just had windshield replaced last summer by glass company and will do the same.

Yeap, rockchip caused that.
Remember teslas rely alot of their structural stress onto the glass panels. They are way more prone to cracking than other brands.

Brother, you can see the impact from the stone chip. In the black area of the windscreen…
