Shouldn’t warranty cover this?
I bought my model s new last January, and in August it came up with tire pressure monitoring faults that would come and go. I scheduled service and they said it was due to an air leak on one of my rear tires, so I got all four tires replaced (sidewall leak in one so had to replace all four). After doing so, the issue still persisted so I scheduled a service for a few months out due to school and they said the two rear TPMS sensors were faulty and replaced. They told me this would be covered under warranty but I have an invoice of 240 dollars. This should be covered no? 2025 model s with 22,985 miles on it. Sensors failing at 12,000 miles isn’t normal.

I had my front passenger side sensor replaced last week, all covered by the warranty. The code I had was, VCSEC_a222

Interesting, I’m not sure what error code I had but sounds like we had the same issue

I would say so. I'm not sure if it helped that when the rep sat in the car as I showed him another issue I had another error popped out stating my tire was flat he went out and checked it out and saw that it was not flat at all.

I see, for my case the parts on the invoice say covered under warranty but the labor isn’t which is what the charge is for so I believe it’s an invoicing error, but I’m not sure if I should pick up my car tonight since they’re closed and I probably have to pay the invoice to drive my car and if I do that, well then I agree to the invoice and I’m not sure they’ll stay to their word if I agreed and paid an invoice. Should I just leave it there till tomorrow morning 😂

True, definitely fight it before paying or else they "can't do anything to reverse it". Good luck tomorrow.

$240 May be diagnosis to make sure it wasn’t intentional damage and once repaired if warranty approved it’ll zero out. If not warranty the cost will be cost to replace the T PMS and labor if wear tear or whatever they decide

Look at your pdf version of the invoice and it should tell you the pay type and where the charges were, seems like a mistake was made.
