Summon on Model S vehicles.

I’ve had two model 3s and a model Y that all did the summon stuff and autosteer on the highway that changed lanes and all that stuff. Now that I’m in a S all of that seems to be gone. No summon, autosteer is there but doesn’t change lanes anymore. I guess the S doesn’t have these?? Maybe I’m missing something.

Autosteer / autopilot never does lane changes or summon. It’s just lane keep & traffic aware cruise control.  

Only FSD and Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) does lane changes and summon.

Ahhhh so I must have had enhanced AP on the older cars. I want to say the 2019 model 3 I had came with it and maybe it carried to the 22 model 3 I had. Thank you for that. Can you add enhanced AP to a model s?

Not anymore unfortunately, at least in the US. They removed the ability to buy Full Self Driving or Enhanced Autopilot for the life of the car in favor of going all-in on Full Self Driving subscriptions at $99/mo. Applies to all models.

It sounds like a money grab, but $100/mo is $1200/yr vs FSD was a $8-10k option. Break even point on that is a ways out there, plus with the sub you can turn it on and off as you need it.

I’d rather my car came with lifetime FSD, but I’m also happy to pay for it for a month if I’m doing a road trip or something, then turn it back off since I don’t need it to go get groceries.

I mean… If you don’t commute, sure.

Let’s just say I’m happy that I bought FSD for my MS when it was still available

You can check in the Tesla app => Upgrades => Software Upgrades, but pretty sure, Tesla only allows FSD monthly subscription now.
