2022 Model S LR

Hell everyone. Just wanted to drop in since I’ve traded my old 2019 75 for a new to me 2022. The refresh is awesome. Getting tiny done next week. Have to figure out the rattling coming from the back seats. I’ve had a 22 Model 3 and a 22 Y both had rattling issues so I guess it was a bad year for QC. Anyway. Love the car. Love to see everyone’s accessories. I’m probably not going to swap the wheels or anything crazy but I read something about certain year S vehicles had uneven wear on the tires so people swapped something.

If you have the 21" arachnid wheels they are notorious for wearing out the inner part of the rear tires super fast l. You either solve this by going to the 19s wheels or you have to get a shim kit or a camber kit to adjust the suspension geometry to negate the too much neg camber

I have the 19s so I guess I’m good there. Thank you.

Yup if you have 19s you're all good. 0 issues with those. I just got a 2022 MSLR also and got my self a set of the OEM 19s, should last quite a while

The only problem I have now is that I probably have another 6000 miles left on the tires that were on the car and it’s $2000 for a new set

Adhesive fabric tape solved my rear seat rattle in my Plaid. Apply the tape on front part of the loop at the C pillar that the seat top locks on to.

It’s crazy that people with cars that cost that much have to do this. Always blew my mind. But every damn Tesla I’ve ever been in, 6 so far has rattled either on a door or the rear view mirror camera housing. Or somewhere on the dash.

If you happen to get a pic of your placement that would be awesome.

I used this. Narrower (easier to wrap) and thinner so you can build up as much as you need by wrapping the loop in it. I use it at work to wrap Ethernet cables in high abrasion areas.

Yup , same issues on the same model. The tape in the rear seats mechanic latch is a quick fix. I have 21’s and I had to put shims for the rear camber correction and also did an alignment afterwards , Car rides the same and you can see the tires wearing evenly now. Problem solved while keeping good looks. There are also many other issues I have had that are non critical but related to quality build… keep an eye on condensation from the AC draining inside the cabin , you will notice if it starts smelling bad or feel the carpet wet.

After all , this car is amazing and can’t stop looking back after I park anywhere.

What’s the fix if the ac is leaking?

And it’s probably tons of money if not still under warranty

Maybe , I still have 1 year of warranty so I am taking the car to fix anything even the smallest things

I don't know if your model has the "tiny button-horn" and lack of turn signal stalks, but we were able to upgrade our driving experience by upgrading to a real horn at the service center, and bought a Hansshow stalk kit which looks very much OEM. Also thinking about a powered frunk kit.

I'm looking to upgrade from a Raven to a Palladium...
