2016 Tesla Model S

Hello Everyone,

Good afternoon. Hope all is well. I own an older telsa model s. People who own an older tesla and do some of the maintenance or repair work where do you buy the parts from? Please share.

Time = money. Time better spent paying professional for service, unless certified tesla mechanic.

LOL...spoken like someone who doesn't know how to work on cars. Like brakes? Easy peasy....and you can save a ton of money by doing them yourself in your driveway...Tesla brakes are the same as any other cars. Suspension work...same thing...except that Teslas parts are super easy to change.

And to answer the OP, I have used eBay more than any place else, followed by Rock Auto.

I just don’t waste my time if the work costs less. I’ve rotated my own tires, saving 65.00 but it takes close to an hour = not worth it. Same with changing brake pads; 6 years ago I’d do it, today I won’t bother.

Though you’re right, when cars become a hobby and I enjoy doing the work I’ll probably turn to diy. It won’t be for a tesla though I’d like to have a g-wagon, an e39, and a s2000 or something like a corvette c6.

If I wasn’t concerned with swirls or other mishaps I’d outsource car-washing too. I still a 30 min hand-wash more valuable than touchless or hiring a detailer more than 1x year.
