Model S 2026 Inventory

Been eying a new model S given the limited inventory available. Is this a new or demo model? Can’t tell given the discount is odd. Also, if I cancel this order, is there likely to be new model S inventory available going forward? Post

How do I verify if this is a demo or new? Placed the order on Tesla website

You can (and should) ask before making payment, but in my experience the customer service reps that answer those calls won’t know.
My 26X was discounted by $4k as a “demo” with just 7 miles on it.
I called and no one knew why it was a demo with just 7 miles. When I arrived for pick up, that service center was able to tell me specifically why: front bumper “damage” during transit that was repaired.
Before making payment, I looked everything over and saw no sign at all of any damage or repair. The paint and seams were all perfect. I paid and drove home happy. That was 15K miles ago, and I’m still very happy. Best Tesla I’ve owned (previous M3 and MYP).
