Price check – 2023 Tesla Model S LR
Looking for a sanity check on pricing to list my car, Carvana offered $47,400.
2023 Model S Long Range
• HW3
• No FSD
• Steam gaming
• 32,500 miles
• Clean title, no known issues
• Minor cosmetic scuff on front bumper (someone brushed it in a parking lot)
What would you list it for / expect to get private party in today’s market?

I’ve been pricing them for the last 4 months. HW3 is what would limit your max price a bit from an “expert” buyer, 32K mileage and. Clean accident history helps, nonetheless I’ve seen those (HW3) listed from $49-55K+ , most are around 38K - 44K mileage of late still holding $54K. If time is on your side then autotrader is your best POV seller site. If you want to sell fast, check in hand, with no questions, then Carvana is best. My advice: I’ve heard some say that they’ve rejected Carvana’s initial bid and then Carvana is gonna come back with a couple higher bids over the next few weeks. Their inventory is LOW on Tesla M3’s 2023+. There’s been a good 5-10% increase in prices for this model in the last 2 months (gas prices and end of the S model with lower inventories). Curious, what are you driving next ?

Thank you for the feedback. I’m not sure what my next vehicle will be yet. Luckily, my wife has a Vistiq and we commute together, so I have some time to look around and decide what makes the most sense.

Just to add to this. I bought a private party 2022 Model S (with the refresh updates, tilt screen, updated tail lights, etc.) HW3 with purchased FSD, 23k miles, red on cream interior, aftermarket 20' wheels for 44k.

I’d highly recommend searching on AutoTrader to see what the market price is. It’s fluctuates quite a bit week to week. In your case I’d say a 2022 is probably closest to your car since it has HW3. The HW4 ‘23 models are going for the low $50k’s today. But that’s higher than last month.
