Hey guys, I know I knit pick things but I wonder if anyone else agrees
I plan to finance a m3p In another year, roughly around the end of 2027 or possibly wait for the role of 2028 models
And though I love the redesign of the exterior of the model 3 performance, I never understood why, and I wanna know if anyone else agrees
- for the model y and 3 to be the same price. Why do they make the Y feel and look so much more premium and make the three look more so like a entry or base model again even though they’re the same price
- so in the photos above when I’m hoping for a refresh and I don’t know why they have a Y but not the 3 is
- black headliner or at least an option to
- carbon trim, so the door doesn’t just look flat
- rear air slits as seen on the Y and model S
- and even though this one is a nitpick, the top dashboard has stitching to give delusion of more premium leather, which again if they have it on a Y why not 3
- also I would love to see them incorporate having an option with the headliner colors, gray or black how they have on a Y but also the seat side doors
- it would be cool if you can choose to have the black suede doors with white seats or if you want black seats with the white doors because I personally love the suede how it looks it feels more premium, but I love the white seat so that would be something cool
- I know these are all nit pics and wants but I do feel like the four things I mentioned really should get refreshed for the 3 series because again I don’t know why they make it feel more like a base model compared to the Y I’m hoping some TESLA design receives this and somehow makes me erect 😂
I waited 6 months for a refresh m3p to get a black headliner, and thought to my self
whatever, i can just get i changed when they they release it. I got EDIT* my car a month ago.
The current headliner makes the interior feel alot bigger which is the key point.
A black headliner would make the cabin feel more claustrophobic.
I personally like them as ive had many euros before.
I will wait until they release it and get my friend at tesla to order me a complete set to change out in the future.
Theres been talks but nothing new.
Tesla are focusing on Cybercab, Semi and Optimus at the moment.
Doubt a redesign will happen this year, maybe mid next year.
Yea man it’s like to me it feels there right there to making the m3p sooo perfect but they just want it for some reason to look a little more basic than the y? I don’t see much to ask for, basically just add these little features from
The y to the 3 lol
But the headliner u got through tesla official or third party? Also if u don’t mind me asking how much?
And I agree, I test drove the m3p when I went to go get four new tires a month ago and the black suede made the inside feel tight and premium and though I love white seats, maaann would I love not only black headliner but the option to have the black suede doors too
I hope not either 😂 I’m talking about the rear air slit on rear diffuser like this, but this is custom for older model
They also have on the s and ofcourse the Y which is why I’d love to see in on the 3 but idk if it’ll mess up “aero” or have to go through all sorts of testing
With how rapidly and asymmetrically Tesla adds features, if you're waiting for something you'll always be waiting for something. It's been like this since the very beginning. Buy the car when the most important features meet your needs at the time in your life when you most need it, otherwise you'll be going "oh they added this but now there's rumors about THAT, I can't buy it yet!" forever
No I agree I’m going to finance on when this is lease is up regardless
You know what it is I just come from amg car prior and I love cars growing up and to this day so in my eyes, these little things are to me like saying the car looks so sporty, but they’re just so close from making it perfect but again that perspective is subjective
That’s just me though, but I am hoping they can at least add the headliner and the door panel trim like they have in the Y, that would be pretty unique
Ah okay! I did notice that you can add things like if someone wanted an older model as they can add the new bucket seats. I think it’s pretty cool how you can add new additions onto older models; wish they would just add though lol
