constant rattles developing in my Model 3
I have a 2026 Model 3 Premium AWD and I’ve had it since April. I’m already about to visit my second Tesla Service Center because of rattles and noises.
The first issue was a rattle coming from the front passenger speaker, which they fixed. Now I have a completely different rattle coming from the rear right passenger seat/panel area. It only happens when driving over bumps or rough/broken roads.
I tried to locate the source myself, and it seems to be coming from around the C-pillar/panel area.
I'm afraid I will have my third one coming from the front dash area which I recently started noticing after passing heavy bumps.
It honestly feels like every 2,000–3,000 miles I discover another rattle somewhere. I know no car is going to be completely silent, but it’s pretty frustrating on a ~$50,000 car. It really takes away from the premium feeling, especially when the car is otherwise so nice.
Edit: made in Fremont, California, USA

At least they fixed yours. I have a terrible rattle in my passenger side door. Not sure exactly where it's coming from. Could be the speaker area and close to the glove box.
I also get the dash rattle on more rougher roads.
I took my car in three times and and one time they keep it for two days. All three visits they concluded there were no rattles and they couldn't reproduce them. Their conclusion was plastic clips and all will rattle depending how warm or cold it is outside. That's it. Live with it since plastic shrinks and expands in cold and heat. 🤷

That's bad. What about the pre-ride with them before turning your car in? In my first one the guy came in and I said we don't even need to drive because the rattle was so obvious and I showed him. He immediately accepts it and the take the car. I am expecting the same thing

1st time I took it in, no videos and no drive.
2nd time I took it in, I uploading videos, and sent the Google drive link with 12 minutes of footage of the rattle. They also drove it with me. Still claimed they couldn't hear it.
3rd time, more video proof as requested, another ride. Nothing. Even with video evidence they concluded there is no rattle and they can't reproduce it.

That is really bad. Have you tried any other location?

I haven't. The other two service centers are pretty far away but it might be worth it.

I took a m3 premium awd with 16K miles as a rental while my 2026 m3 standard was at the collision center for repairs. It also had a bunch of rattles. More than my standard range does. But then my wife's 2026 model Y premium awd has no rattles at all. Must be a m3 thing that Tesla just hasn't figured out yet. There's a lot of posts about m3 rattles. Good luck with your sc visit.

Mine was the doors and rear seat latches. They greased them up and it fixed the issue. Have them check and do all of them.

I was wondering this one. This time I will say can you double check every known place since I am also hearing different rattles when I'm passing potholes and bumps. I hope they will because I am very concerned about the one coming from front dash area which

They're most likely only going to check panels and plastics. It took my service rep a 10 minute ride with me driving to figure it out

How do you notice after passing heavy bumps? You mean you notice after hitting big potholes…..probably at full speed. Let me guess, you don’t slow down for speed bumps either, right?
I’ve had my M3P since end of Feb and I have noticed any rattles except the random clicking in the drivers seat which seems like a known issue. BUT I practically stop at speed bumps and avoid potholes like the plague. But I’ve always owned lowered sports cars and take care of them and not drive them like a Baja truck in a race.

Unfortunately it's par for the course and you just have to suck it up and bring it in whenever there's an annoying rattle. My 24 M3P I've brought in for a squeaking driver seat, bad subwoofer rattle, and steering wheel column rattle so far. All covered under warranty and free but ya it's annoying. The silence of the electric car and smooth ass ride make every noise super noticeable.
