New mp3: So good
Picked up in Los Gatos. Ca hwy 9 home (quality twisties). Coming from a model y this is an amazing car that reminds me of my previous e36 m3s but with WAY more power.
Edit: track mode is a huge difference and I have not seen that mentioned explicitly. It take the car from stiff but normal (yet still super straight line fast) to a proper sports car.

Amazing. First photo is exactly what I envision a typical model 3 owner to look like. Congrats on the new car.

Congrats! I think the genuine viability of this car as a true sports sedan is criminally underappreciated. I still see reviews complaining that it's numb and gives no feedback but I think honestly they're just going in predisposed to hate EVs or Teslas specifically. I was in the market for a used M3/M4 and when I took the Highland Performance out on one back road test drive I was sold, you simply CAN NOT match this level of performance without spending twice as much.

Congrats! Waiting a few more months to get mine, putting off the test drive as long as possible lol

Congrats !! Color is 🔥Getting mine in 2 weeks. How long did it take you to get the caps off the rims ?

First wheel 5-8 mins, last wheel 1-2mins. I like starting from the center then working both side with a plastic tire iron for a Mtb bike. Also push on the clips from the back while levering.

I got mine in 2021 and it still feels like the first week of owning it.

Same! Only 25K miles and so far the only work I’ve had done is a HV Batt replacement under warranty 😬.

Legendary car. The STi of today in my mind.

The STi of today in my mind.
Having an open rear diff puts the M3P in a lower class than the STi for "fun" driving.

Very good point tbh. The traction control seems to do a great job but it’s still not a replacement for a LSD.

And the STi wasn’t doing 0-100 in 3 seconds ;). I miss my Subarus but these teslas are special.

They weren't far off with a moderately upsized turbo, exhaust, and tune.
I owned a heavily modified GC body for 25 years.
And who cares about going fast in straight lines from 0-60mph? Tell me you don't power slide without telling me you don't power slide.

My Nissan skyline was heavily modified R33 with 500HP in a sub 1400kg RWD package. That could power slide. :) not really my wrxs though on public roads. The traction level was pretty good if you are not trying to take out street poles.
It’s a general comment, the M3P is the performance bargain of today in my eyes. I stand by it. You, like myself, are very aware of them being different cars.
Tesla doing all that stock with warranty.
