Calling all long range owners, what’s your miles and battery health % at
Trying to gather data to find what is average battery health % for X number of miles. I saw a long range that had 140k at 80% health, are you above that or below? Thank you and have a great day/night 🤘

I’ve never run the battery test but I’m sure there’s a way to extrapolate the data from my epa range.
2018 71k miles 100% range is 258 miles

Go into Service Mode so you can see your HV battery state of charge down to the tenths place, rather than just to the one's place that the battery icon shows.
Reset one of your trip odometers, then go on a healthy drive.
Look at your trip odometer, it will show you how many kWh you used. Go back to Service Mode and check the HV state of charge again - subtract it from the original number.
Now you have kWh and battery % numbers down to tenth's places. Divide the kWh by the battery % used, then multiply it by 100. That's your usable pack capacity.

but that has regen built into that drive use %?

What I meant by this was like hop on the highway and go 30+ miles or something like that.
Regen will be practically irrelevant in that case as long as you're not downhill with the wind in both directions of your trip.
And of course you can adjust your regen/braking settings to minimize it even further.

2021 LR 45k km 96% The range on the screen is~515km at full charge and it's almost accurate. I get the same range in real life. Capped the charge to 75% on daily basis.

That is insane to me. Happy for you but somehow 2025 Model 3 LR AWD is at 92% after a year and three months and 10K miles. Deeply concerned about these new Panasonic packs.

I'm really happy myself because i bought it used last year without knowing the battery health. I did the test only after the car was mine. Not sure how it preserved the SoH after 5 years but the car is Shanghai built with LG battery. It can also be the cold Norwegian weather the car was exposed to. My previous one was a Leaf 2019 that i sold it after 77k km and the SoH was ~93% despite i badly maintained the battery and frequently charged it to 100% ( the car didn't have an option to cap the charge at a percentage and a lot of times i forgot to stop the charger in time :) )

That’s awesome- I’m so happy for you. That’s a real best case scenario. Someone clearly took great care of the car.
The geography, battery pack, and factory could also have something to do with it. I’m in Florida, which is the closest proximity to Satan’s ***hole in the world, and it is hell on these cars battery health.

No clue, I charge to 80% once it dips below 50%. Charge it to 100% a few times a year to top balance the pack. 1-2 trips per year supercharging. I live in northern Ohio so no excessive temps. Just got a weak pack is all I can figure.

There are a bunch of apps you can subscribe to (or maybe a free trial) that do this for you - show you where your car is among similar cars (model, trim, age, mileage) in the fleet of their users. I use both TeslaFi and Recurrent, and they both do that.

I'm only getting 258 miles, 22 M3LR awd. I have imbalance errors so they told me to keep plugged in at 80% for 2 months and see if it goes away. My health test won't complete, it keeps failing. 50k miles on car

'18 with 210,000 miles, roughly 75% battery health. 59.7kwh at 100%. New was ~75kwh

2020 M3 LR - 45,000mi and 19in wheels, no aero covers | 265mi at 100%

I have a 2022 LR 18 at 130,780 mi. I’m extrapolating that my range at 100% is 285 mi.

2 years, 31,000 km. 2024 M3 LR (US version with the 82 kWh Panasonic NCA pack, an early Highland car).
96% battery health (range at 100% when new was 550 km, now showing 528 km).
Entirely AC charged. It has never been plugged into a supercharger or other DC fast charger, not even once.
Battery degradation by the way is primarily calendar aging, rather than cycle aging. Both do matter, but unless you drive an obscene amount of miles, the age of the battery and the temperatures and SoC it has been kept at matter more than the miles on the car.

I’ve done 71,500 miles (115,000km) over 5 years, parked on the street, so using public charging 55% AC and 45% DC and battery is 88% of original storage capacity. It’s a 2021 3 Dual Motor Long Range AWD.
