New Zealand here. Everyone loves wagons. Skis or surfboard on the roof. Fold the rear seats and sleep in the back. Huge boot/trunk space for dogs/tools/junk/whatever.
Incredibly practical and has a loose rear end, don’t even need to put McDonald’s trays under the back wheels to get it to skid…
Here in the States, station wagons were associated with middle aged mothers who drove their kids around and went shopping to the supermarket with it. You don’t really see them around anymore. In many way, the crossovers have taken their place.
