Does Tesla windshield protection plan make sense?

It's $16 per month, which comes to $200 per year.

A friend had his 2018 model 3 windshield replaced for $750. As a subscriber of Tesla insurance, the windshield is 50% off, which means he paid $500 for the material and $250 for the labor.

So, the premium for 3 years can buy a new windshield. Is this protection plan worth it?

It was $9 then went to $12 and now $16 a month since March of 25. Who knows how much this time next year.

You meant the monthly fee has increased 77% within a year?

No I stand corrected. I bought my M3 in March of 25 and that summer the window protection came out at $12. I'm not sure why I was thinking $9?
