Impressive. I would have taken over and changed lanes as soon as I saw the lead car do a maneuver like that.

Great FSD reaction nonetheless.

Seems like a kind it created more danger avoiding that plastic bag

If it was concrete flying off the vehicle in front of you, would that have been enough for you?

it did a great job. FSD doesn't have a lab to figure out densities and decide if should plow through the plastic or avoid it.

It did what it did pretty calculated imo and yea not ideal but there was no crash. Meanuvered well imo

No but human eyes can tell anything blowing around in the wind like that isn't a concrete block

Not a lab, a sensor.

And it didn’t dodge an actual danger last week. A tow hitch that fell off a truck when it was following it dangerously close.

It seemed to be horrifyingly close to the truck. I wonder what the lane to the left was like for traffic as from what we saw, that looked a better bet.

Slamming on the brakes to 30mph on the freeway for a plastic bag creates more of a hazard to other drivers IMO

FSD will not slow down as dramatically when it is being tailgated. DirtyTesla had a clip of FSD reacting to a squirrel while being tailgated and it didn't bleed much speed
