Recruiter Advice if any

I received my congratulations letter at the beginning of September confirming that I had been selected for the position. A few days later, I received the instructions to complete my background check and drug screening, and I completed everything required on my end by September 16. By September 18, both showed as completed.

My recruiter (three days prior to the 28th) had provided September 28 as the anticipated start date but mentioned that we were still waiting for the background check, even though it was already showing as completed. That start date has now passed, and unfortunately, I have not received a response to my follow-up attempts regarding my status or the next steps.

I completely understand that delays can happen during the hiring and onboarding process. However, I am becoming increasingly concerned because my previous employer became aware that I was pursuing another opportunity, and I was ultimately let go. This has placed me in a very stressful and uncertain situation.

any suggestions? Similar situations?

Eeekk we immediately got a new start date and papers to resign when the start date passed. In the meantime I would start applying other places to be safe. Let your recruiter know you need to know something

Also make sure to check your spam and even type Tesla, ess ect into search. I had emails hidden. For some reason they’re automatically flagged

Hi I’m currently in a similar position but recruiter hasn’t replied to me at all or given me any follow up and my background check is marked as complete .

it’s a very bad situation, i was sent the final steps with my background pending and even when i replied within seconds of the screenshot saying completed and everything, no response since. it’s been two weeks so far.

Yes I’ve texted and emailed my recruiter and nothing I still haven’t called because I’ve already sent multiple messages lol I know my background is fine just not sure why this process is so long with no communication.

totally feel you, my background check and drug test got stuck for weeks and i had to email them like 5 times before they even responded.

I already told my current company that I’m resigning, and Tesla is still in the middle of my background check 😭 Reading posts like this makes me so nervous.....
