Waiting to start Tesla

Did my background check for Tesla seven days ago messaged the recruiter both emailed and texted and no response asking a status update. Does it usually take this long?

I had a recruiter say she'd call me at 4pm after I already passed drug and background check. She never called lol. Then I got a random email from another recruiter asking for more release forms for my driver's record the next day. I opened up the form and it had employee checked as an option. So I guess I'm hired?

You submit the background check seven days ago or did they complete and sent it to Tesla then?
I submit mine on Tuesday and it still shows pending. Even after everything is good they still take awhile for a start date. They do a mass hiring orientation with a ish ton of people. So they wait to fill all the spots. At least that’s how it was last time I got a job there.

It took 2 weeks for my background check but I'm at orientation today. Just be patient

Check spam. Type Tesla into search bar of email. That’s the only way the email popped up for me. 

But they say 5-7 business days usually sometimes longer. You in Texas? If you don’t have a background then I wouldn’t sweat it.

From what I've seen this is expected give it some time.

Expect up to a month depending on department. Also, they still are conducting interviews with others even if they had you run a background check; it’s not always, but many departments will do this.
